![]() In that situation a thicker oil may be more suitable than Al Cass Fast to compensate for the gap. Some trumpets (used, second-hand or old from use) valve casings are not, or no longer tight fitting because of a gap that had developed between the valve pistons and the valve casing which causes the Al Cass oil to go dry pre-maturely (to soon) between each use while playing the trumpet. I was also wondering, if I sold it, what my asking price should be? Valve oil is valve oil (all are generally the same). If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I've found a couple of sites that suggest it may be from the sixties but I was wondering if that was correct. The serial number on the middle valve piece is 41 371211. Made a noise when catalogued, but a technician assessment is recommended. All parts appear to be present, but need to be greased. This is stored in a Summerhays Music Center case.
